The small things that made Orion unforgettable.
Chicken, biscuits, and anything accidentally dropped in the kitchen.
His old blue teddy.
Curled up near the family, usually wherever the warmest patch of sunlight was.
The open fields where he could sniff, explore and look back to make sure everyone was still with him.
Orion would follow us from room to room, quietly settling wherever we were, just so he could be close.
He always seemed to know when food was around. No matter how quietly a packet was opened, Orion would appear within seconds, looking as innocent as possible.
Orion had the kindest heart. He made the house feel warmer, calmer and happier. He gave comfort without needing words, and his love was constant.
