Their story

More than a name and a date.

Margaret Ashworth was born in Blackburn and carried Blackburn with her throughout her life. Margaret was proud of where she came from, proud of her family, and proud to support Blackburn Rovers FC through every high, low, hopeful season and unforgettable matchday.

Football was never just a game to Margaret. It was routine, conversation, friendship and memory. She loved the sound of the crowd, the familiar walk to the ground, the colours, the songs, and the feeling of belonging that came with supporting Blackburn Rovers FC.

Away from football, Margaret was known for kindness, humour and loyalty. She had a way of making ordinary days feel warmer, and her family will always remember the stories, the laughter and the steady love she gave so freely.
